News from last ReCOMed Board of Directors, March 8, 2015 in CROATIA

The first 2015 Board of Directos was held in Brtonigla, CROATIA, on March 8, 2015 4 countries on 5 were present. Delegates discussed 2015 objectives, including the implementing of EU funding programmes opportunities for member countries and ReCOMed presence to EXPO 2015 in Milan. Croatia, Italy, Spain and Turkey delegates also officialy participated to OliOcapitale exhibition in Trieste (March 7) and to Oleum Olivarum in Krasica (Buie on March 8). Food Bloggers contest “A Menu for the Mediterranean Diet Day”

ReCOMed dedicates a new contest to the Mediterranean Diet. In collaboration with the Mediterrenean Diet Forum 2014, ReCOMed invites all Food Bloggers to send their menu for the Mediterranean Diet Day - Sunday November 16, 2014. You have time until Monday October 27 to participate (see Registration form here below). The winner will come to Italy, Imperia on November 13 to November 16, 2014 as Mediterranean Diet Forum guest.  She/he will be protagonist of a public cooking show to prepare the winning menu in front of an international jury . News from last ReCOMed meetings in Greece

The 2014 General Assembly was held in Greece, Kalamata and Koroni, on June 20-21, 2014 11 countries on 13 were present. Delegates discussed ongoing projects, including the website, very soon to be implemented with the Mediterranean Food Blog Platform. Regarding future projects, by November 2014 a Mediterrnanean Food Blogger Contest will be organized - to be within Imperia Mediterranean Diet Forum - and a Scientific Committee has been created to work on 5 thematic areas related to Mediterranean Diet, first results will be presented during November 2014 Forum, final result during the interntional EXPO 2015, in Milan. The Network met in Imperia, for the third Forum on the Mediterranean Diet, to plan more incisive action as the Universal Expo of Milan in 2015 approaches. The Network adheres to a protocol of intent with ONAOO (National Organization of Olive Oil Tasters), the oldest school in the world of this kind. The Protocol of intent with the ONAOO represents an occasion which every country should grasp in partnership with its National Association.
